Sergeant (SGT) Chris Benson honorably served 8 years as an Infantryman (11B, or “Eleven Bravo”) assigned to Fort Carson, Colorado as part of the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. Infantry is a physically demanding and mentally challenging career that is often referred to as the “backbone of the Army.” One of SGT Benson’s most memorable moments was his return home to Colorado after spending significant time away from family while deployed to Afghanistan.
Chris continues to dedicate his time to serving others as the Owner of Vets Haul Junk Removal LLC of Lake Norman. With so many junk removal services to choose from, Chris and his team set themselves apart by drawing upon the core values instilled while serving in the military. “I would like to see the junk removal industry continue its growth into a more professional appearance. There are far too many “fly-by-nighters” that give the good honest services a bad repuation,” Chris said.
When asked why he loves his job, his face lights up with excitement and pride. “I enjoy the opportunity to meet new people everyday and I like the satisfaction after completing each job. Our customers are always extremely thankful for our dedication to customer service and thrilled to get their mess cleaned up.” Chris and his team also take time to give back to the Lake Norman community. One of his proudest moments was contributing as a sponsor for the 2019 Officer Sheldon Fall Festival in honor of an officer who died in the line of duty.
Chris absolutely loves the Lake Norman area!“I enjoy the people and the hometown feel. As a veteran business owner, I feel well-received in this area.” When Chris isn’t “cleaning up Lake Norman,” he enjoys spending time with family exploring new places and making as many memories as possible. Be on the look out, you might spot Chris at one of his favorite establishments, Lancaster’s BBQ Mooresville!
